“When I consider the night sky, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars you have set in place……”
I have recently returned from the most amazing journey out West . I was the fortunate passenger on the backseat of a motorcycle on a pilgrimage which began in the desert splendor of Nevada and Utah and ended in the pine studded fragrance of the Rockies in Colorado. While sipping a glass of wine with my loving man in Bryce Canyon, we were both overcome with an indescribable awe as we witnessed a myriad of those heavenly lights described in Psalm 8 by King David thousands of years before.
What struck me as a thunderbolt is the fact that, as human souls , we are all united in sharing those same wonders of heaven and earth. Whether we walked in ancient times or current times, those same elements of fascination are still captivating us and the realization that we truly are ONE suddenly became quite palpable. Thus, I concluded, if we can focus on the sameness we share rather than the differences, we truly can elevate the joy level on our remarkable planet.
A task worthy of our efforts…don’t you agree?
